The question that's often asked is about the difference between Clay Pigeon and Simulated Game. Both involve traps and guns, but with a Simulated Game shoot, we are trying to replicate the different 'drives,' (or shooting locations), that you would experience on a traditional game shooting day.
Examples of these include:
Low and Fast 'Partridge' targets High 'Pheasant' targets Low Fast Moving 'Grouse' Targets
What are the benefits of Simulated Game Shooting? Apart from the fact that no birds are shot during the event, simulated game shooting offers a number of benefits beyond beyond the obvious benefit of it sharpening your shooting skills! It allows novice or expert shooters to practise in a controlled environment that mirrors the real thing. There is also the social interaction benefit - it's a fun activity that's best enjoyed with friends that encourages friendly competition.
What are the environmental impacts? From an envirnmental aspect, it's also one of the best ways to enjoy shooting. We use Eco Clays that biodegrade in the environment and contain to paint to contaminate land. We also insist on our own cartridges that use fibre wadding so that we are not adding unnecessary plastic to the location.
